Chelsea Hankinson, B.S., MBA – Chief Deputy Clerk, Allen County Common Pleas Court, Probate & Juvenile Division

Chelsea Hankinson began her career at Allen County Common Pleas Court, Juvenile Division in November of 2015 as a Deputy Clerk with a primary focus on the Court’s Dependency, Neglect, and Abuse cases. In January of 2019, she began her position as Chief Deputy Clerk of the Juvenile Division where she took over the additional roles as bookkeeper and statistician for that division. Ms. Hankinson became the Chief Deputy Clerk of the Probate Division in December of 2021, where she currently supervises both Probate and Juvenile Court Deputy Clerks.

Ms. Hankinson earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Eastern Michigan University in the field of Paralegal Studies in 2014, and her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Northwestern Ohio in 2017. Ms. Hankinson received her Certified Court Manager credentials through the Court Management Program, in 2021, which is a certification offered by the National Center for State Courts. In addition, she received her Certified Court Executive credentials in November of 2024. Ms. Hankinson is a certified instructor for the National Center for State Courts where she teaches Caseflow and Workflow Management to other Court leaders throughout the state. She is an active participant in the Ohio Association of Court Administrators, the Allen County Bar Association’s Legal Professional Subcommittee, and the Allen County League of Woman Voters. Ms. Hankinson supervises the Probate and Juvenile Clerk’s offices, manages statistical reporting, and is a member of the court’s leadership team.
